When I cry, please do not look at me
With pity or with consternation.
When I cry, the tears are from my
Heart and soul, flowing free.
I cry for little children and for old men;
A song or a story may bring me to tears.
My ordinary feelings are cheery and bright
But, I sure cry, when I go to bed at night.
It’s such a lonely feeling, to straighten up
The covers, crawl in bed without my wife.
After all, seventy one years, we were as one.
For us it was just always, together forever.
Time has a way of putting twists in one’s
Path. Forever is a word covering one’s
Lifetime to and through eternity and
Beyond. Now, who’s to say? Beyond?
We do not have the vision to enlighten
Us to what lies beyond or if, there’s such.
Once again I hesitate, pull up the reins
And think. What is God’s plan for me?
