The three stand inseparable, they go together like Nuts and Bolts. Take away one, they all may go to naught.
It’s a part of life you must work at each hour, every day.
Think of it as a garden where the weeds must be fought.
A family together must be peaceful and proud. Peace
Is a binder, a glue, that cements, to keep families tight.
Listen with patience though you may not agree with
All that you hear; to be heard, one and all have that right.
Have your say. An idea left hanging is one without might.
Participation that comes not to light is gone without gain.
It’s a garden, seeded but not tended, left to wither and rot,
Like the nuts without bolts or a garden without rain.
Well, that is my say, Peace, Patience and Participation is
The rule of the day when it comes to keeping a family tight.
Sometimes, I wonder, but at the end of the day,
If the family’s together, I think I thought right.
