Early evening is my daily quiet time, sitting relaxed
Deep in my comfy easy chair, I free myself of cares.
All my concerns of the day quickly fade away.
The chair is magical, it seems, it suppresses fears.
Where once I sat in awe of the ebony dark of night
My easy chair has wrapped itself around me, snugly,
lovingly, holding me safely in its arms from harm;
All of this from my magical easy chair
If only we all had a magical easy chair, strong
And purposeful, to hold us and guide us through
Life’s stormy seas, showing us the way to go,
Holding us tightly through it all and take us home.
We all have the easy chair, but some choose to put it aside
And ignore our guide for a pathway taken by many,
Pleasurable enough to travel, but filled with pitfalls
And roadblocks for those uncaring and unwary.
Take caution my friends, be wise, consider all of your
Your decisions, don’t try to run a road block.
Beware of the pitfalls left there by One wiser than you.
The reward for your wisdom will be:
A place in God’s Heaven.
