I wonder where the months have went
That’s the cry we hear now, year after year.
It seems as though the world has shrunk
The furthest away now seems quite near.
It’s September, the days grow shorter
Here on Earth we folks grow older, older.
Somehow to me, all this is not right a’tall
Winter will soon be here, will we smolder
When we should be shivering in the cold?
I for one yearn for a return to what it was.
Could it be, our world has turned about
And if it has, and you know the cause,
Enlighten me. If I’ve wronged my God
I wish to do my share in hopes to repair
Any wrong or hurt I’ve done or caused
As I kneel and bow to Him in prayer
