My computer has a keyboard with
Which I am, More or less familiar.
Recently I’ve found there is another.
I know I will have to deal with it as
With a stranger in my ‘lot in life’
I expect I may be troubled now a bit,
By unforeseen forces crowding me
Pushing in where normally, I’d not fit.
This infidel of which I speak is the
Keyboard of my mind. He counters
What my digits write with his own
Ideas of what is right, then, saunters
Away in glee. Well now, let it be, my
Turn to toss in the gauntlet of fear
To the contender of my rights to
The keys. There’ll be a change of gear.
Then I think, look at the work my digits
Will save, if my mind takes over,
And wins. I really think if they can
Work together, we will all be in clover,
Should we not, it will be a loss and a sin.
