Leave them be. Yes, happy times, I’ll agree
That sometimes ended, rent with sorrow.
If you stop to think, I believe you’ll see
Reclaiming years, is futility tomorrow.
Once the years have left, do not wish them
To return, instead remember, lessons learned.
I have had my share, do not wish for it again;
You’ll agree, I think, knowledge not be spurned.
Now reader, I don’t read minds, I’m not a seer.
I live my life as I see it, I don’t look backward.
But I’ve learned in life, by experience ~ listened
To another’s words, to keep my focus ever ahead,
Not to beg or borrow trouble from the past.
If you’ve done wrongs,
Trouble will catch up with you
