Love, poetry and song, together for life
They are part of the soul and the heart,
Always together, not to be riven,
Bound together right from the start.
Man and woman, singing the love songs,
Read poetry that plays on heart strings,
That in the end leads to their marriage;
Truly amazing what love music will bring.
Time moves along, brings with it children;
What a wonderful life it is and can be.
Now, it’s a struggle for the child’s education
They know money doesn’t grow on a tree.
Off to the work force goes mother, and wife.
There is agreement to split up the chores.
Mom works at a job, with no complaint;
Dad might complain, but washes the floors
Gone are the children, retirement, Oh Boy!
Wait, just a minute! They say it together.
The house needs repair, let’s get it done;
Those two, are birds of a feather.
