In the beginning given to us is, a child
Not free but, with an obligation attached
To rear him to adulthood with care
We are not given rules, look to the past
In the future, will you change your course?
From mistakes made lessons are learned
The child will benefit and I hope you will too
The wish, that this knowledge not to be spurned
Therefore if succession means anything at all
The teacher has learned, expanded his worth
As Parent and Teacher, Here on this Earth
The child is the happiest, shaking with mirth
I wonder what happened when I was a lad
Parents were grumpy, Teachers were mean
Why did they not get together just a tad
That would have been lovely, O’ what a scene
O’ well, my mother is gone, dad? He is too.
you ask ‘bout their teachers,They’re in absentee
How about a middleman O no, not three
Why of course, the Child, that be me.
